Day Two!

Hello loves! I am super exhausted but training was fantastic! I am so grateful for this opportunity...I mean that sincerely. We have an awesome leadership team, and the staff seems really cool, so the day went well. I've learned a lot about the organization and I'm kind of excited to see it in action. I pretty ouch know everyone on the same track as I am, and we've gotten along well. My Pastor said I might find her grandson...I'm not sure about all that... ! Right now I'm relaxing and gearing up for some light reading before bed. Tomorrow is more training, as well as Friday, but we've planned a trip to the Jazz fest Friday night before we head to Boston. I leave Saturday morning for Boston and I have a 2 hour layover in....Detroit!!! Mom and Alura are supposed to come and say hello for a bit. I love them! Bad news alert: I left my digital camera at home so...no pics just yet. Well, I'm off...love you all.

Day One!

It's my first day in Villanova and I am equal parts nervous and excited. Let me share this with you before I forget: Never ride the bus. Never...at least not on any day that ends in Y. I mean it. That was 14 hours of my life I'll never get back! Thank You LORD for allowing me to save money on my trip, and meet some nice people along the way. However, I would prefer to never ever ride the bus again. It's funny, when you look at the state of the world, it's easy to see how someone could be totally convinces there are no nice people left out there. I happen to know some amazing individuals, so I could argue that point, but it's still refreshing to see it in action amongst total strangers. Until I arrived at Villanova University, I did not have to handle my GIGANTIC suitcase one time! Every time I needed to transport it, there was always someone who did it for me. No, not the people who worked for Greyhound, just random people with their own lives, and often their own luggage, who did me a favor.
Honestly, I thinks that's what it boils down to; favor. I try to recognize favor whenever I encounter it, because not everyone has favor. And let's be honest....it's not fair! I thank God for placing people who have my best interests at heart, and who use their power, influence, and resources to help me. I know that I must also be willing to do the same...
So...met some good people today, and I will not be taking pics of them (Mom and Fay) because: 1) It's sliiiiightly creepy, and 2) I left my cam at home :( booooo. Villanova is a huge campus, (evident in the fact that they have their own train stop!) and it's a great location as well. THere's a Starbucks and a TJ Maxx so I know I'm in good company :) We had a nice dinner at Chili's, watched the Lakers beat the snot outta the Celtics (oh wow), and got to know each other. I love that everyone has a story and it's been fun learning theirs. It's awesome to be around, driven, motivated adults.
Well, it goes without saying that if you're reading this blog, you must be someone special...
I miss all of you, continue to pray for me! Good night!

Love you
